Of course, films don’t tend to hand out a lot of precise dates, so we’ve had to do some investigative work in order to pin down when a lot of these took place. Names often have deeper meanings in the “Harry Potter” universe, and Voldemort is no exception. Hermione and Ron attempt to kill Nagini, but the snake is ultimately killed by Neville using the sword of Gryffindor. Harry finds himself in what appears to be a glowing King’s Cross station, where he sees Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore tells him that he is not actually dead, and that the Killing Curse only destroyed the part of him that was a Horcrux. He offers Harry the choice to continue on to the afterlife, or return to the world of the living.

Dumbledore tells Snape that when Voldemort’s Killing Curse rebounded off of Harry as a child, it left a piece of Voldemort’s soul behind, turning Harry into a Horcrux. Dumbledore asks Snape to tell Harry this only after the other Horcruxes are destroyed.
He also sees Snape’s true role in Dumbledore’s death, and learns that he himself is the final Horcrux.
