How does it work?

Once you've secured your date with a $250 retainer fee and signed contract, I'll send you a questionnaire to get to know you and your family just a bit better.

On the day of our session, I show up (most likely in comfy clothes with coffee in hand) and shoot like a fly on the wall, following you as you go about your day. Sometimes I'll chat or joke around with your kids, but mostly I'll be observing and waiting to capture the moments that might otherwise go forgotten. If you go to the grocery store, I'm right there with you. Baseball practice, ice cream after dinner, a walk around the neighborhood before bedtime; I'm right there behind you. I become a part of your family for the day.

WHAT IS DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY?

Documentary photography is approached in a strictly photojournalistic sense - I simply show up and capture what I see. The real, raw, genuine moments that make up the story of your everyday life. I don't alter the environment in any way, I don't give outfit suggestions, etc. When editing, I don't add or delete anything (I don't edit out outlets, wrinkles, etc.)
