As I was looking through all my folders upon folders of photos from shoots this past year, I began to wonder where all my personal photos were, photos taken just for Trevor and I. Maybe I never exported them? Maybe they were on an external hard drive somewhere?
And then I realized that, oh, yeah, I never actually took any.
I mean, sure, we had a couple photos that I had taken with the sole purpose of practicing a lighting technique, or posting to social media. But not real life moments. And that really bummed me out, because that was what got me all fired up about photography in the first place.
So this is my goal this year, to take a photo a day. Not just any photo, not just something that would look pretty on Instagram, but a real memory.
There are so, so many things that could change for us this year. We might move. We'd like to go to Ireland. We might get pregnant (yeesh.) So many big things ahead, and I want to capture it all. So, here's my 365 so far. I still haven't decided how I want to go about sharing these (once a week? Every day? Whenever the mood strikes?) I have a feeling it will be a bit random. I do plan on sharing my favorites on Instagram and all of the photos here on the blog. So! Join me, won't you? If you're tackling your own 365, please leave a link in the comments, I'd love to see!
"Alright, but only if you don't show my face."
We got to get ready and go to church together this morning, like a real life married couple. It was weird and I liked it.
Love our pre-dinner coffee dates.
