Today was a day off of work, as most Mondays are.
A rare trip to the mall (ran out of foundation), and an encounter with a cashier at the makeup store who has my name, almost my same birthday, and is a photographer.
Grocery-buying, mostly normal things (salad, chicken, butter, onions) with some coconut scented dish soap thrown in to spice things up.
A very hot midday walk around the lake, sweaty and humid, me regretting not changing into shorts. I meant to spend the walk in prayer and silence, and I'm pretty sure I did, though hours later I can barely remember that the walk happened, let alone what I prayed.
Afternoon coffee at the table with Trevor, talking Monday things.
Peaches before dinner.
Trying to remind myself, at the end of this debit card-swiping, gas pumping, email-responding day, that life is about so much more than just what I can see in front of me.
